Our current team continues and expands the original mission of bringing solar energy access to every corner of Africa — through education, research, and international advocacy.
Where This Domain Came From
In 2013, the Solar2Africa400 project was launched by its original founding team — one of the first initiatives in West Africa to put solar-powered computers into the hands of rural off-grid communities. The flagship product, the T1-R Low Power PC, was a 12-Watt solar-powered computer built specifically to work in homes with no electricity grid at all.
The project launched officially in Accra, Ghana at the British High Commission, then expanded into Sierra Leone through local distribution partner LAM-TECH Consult. It attracted attention from governments, international institutions, and the media — earning recognition in the US Congressional Record, the Commonwealth Ministers Reference Book, and peer-reviewed academic research.
Our current team is not the original founding team. We acquired this domain because we believe deeply in its mission and its history. We are continuing that mission under new management — with the same goal but a broader approach.
What the original project taught the world still holds true today: hardware alone does not solve energy poverty. People need education, communities need advocacy, and governments need international pressure. That is why this platform exists today.
